#EndorseThis: Morning Joe Groans As Giuliani Crusades To Win State Job

Rudolph Giuliani’s public crusade to win appointment as secretary of state in the Trump administration is becoming absurd. His self-serving bluster is so cringeworthy that MSNBC host Joe Scarborough – who doubts the former New York mayor’s fitness as top diplomat – literally groaned in pain as he listened to Mika Brzezinski narrate Rudy’s latest antics.

Combined with the televised indiscretions of his ally, Trump spokesperson Kellyanne Conway, Giuliani may well have rendered his appointment impossible – unless the president-elect wants to look like an impotent leader who can be publicly bullied by subordinates. Giuliani’s rejection would represent a rare bit of good news, unless the Trump crew comes up with someone even worse. Which is far from impossible.
